Thinking of Death Hollow

Tonight I spent time with Brandon. We reminisced about the backpacking trip we took with Heather in July of 2010 down Death Hollow.

On day two it got dark just as we were hitting the narrowest part of the canyon. Exhausted, wet, and irritable we needed to find a place to camp.

We dropped our packs and scouted a half mile down river without finding any flat places to sleep. We resigned ourselves to hike another few miles in the dark, and then looked up.

A quick scramble up the rock later we found a perfect camping spot. Here Brandon is watching the sun slowly flow down an east-facing wall that next morning.

  1. Gaw, love camping. Love that you two still hang out. So bomb. Yes, bomb.

  2. That looks like an awesome spot. Reminds me of our slot canyon trip.
