Aix en Provence is chuck full of charming, claustrophobic streets,
Which block all views of the surrounding hills.
Sainte-Victoire's limestone mass lies about 10K south of Aix. I started out on a crazy-narrow highway,
Then soon found pathways carved into the red dirt of the foothills.
While running through the pines,
I imagined I was the young Marcel Pagnol.
Waymarked trees guided me home.
